A volunteer with the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council throws a Coho salmon into Lost Creek in the Mt. Hood National Forest. The fish carcass will lodge among the rocks and logs in creek before it decomposes and releases nutrients to nourish the aquatic ecosystem.
